Teens & Adults: Beginner Potter's Wheel

  • Thursday, November 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • $30 for Art Spot Members, $35 for Non-Members
  • Ages 15+ (12-14 must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Instructor: Melissa Michel 

Curious about pottery? In this class, you’ll get hands-on experience throwing on the wheel with guidance from professional potter Melissa Michel, who brings over 15 years of experience to the studio. You'll learn the basics—centering and pulling walls—as you shape your first pieces. This class is perfect for first-timers or visitors looking for a fun creative evening.

Adolescentes y Adultos: Clase de Rueda de Alfarero

¿Tiene curiosidad por la rueda de alfarero? En esta clase para principiantes, aprenderá los fundamentos del torneado y creará sus propias piezas de cerámica.

Additional Information:

  • Please arrive on time; the demonstration is the first 30–40 minutes.

  • Pieces made in this class are not fired, as pottery takes multiple steps and sessions to complete. Want to keep your pottery? Join a multi-day class to finish, glaze, and fire your work.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

Due to the multi-step ceramic process, completion takes 1–2.5 weeks. You’ll be notified when your pieces are ready for pickup. Learn more about our ceramic kiln operations and information

Advance registration is required. Each class must meet a minimum participation number. If the minimum is not met at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, the class is subject to cancellation. Please call the Art Spot if you have any questions.

REFUND POLICY

If you cannot attend the class and need a refund, you must notify the Art Spot by phone or email 48 hours before the class start time.
