Intro to Textiles: Make a Hand Sewn Sashiko Sampler

Shashiko is an ancient Japanese stitching method that began centuries ago. Originally used to mend clothing and other fabric items, it has expanded Worldwide and is used to mend and decorate clothing and other fabric items with intricate designs. 

In this class, we will make a Shashiko sampler using embroidery thread on fabric. Once completed, your sampler will have various uses such as making bookmarks, book covers, small pouches, or patching/mending. Join me to learn this beautiful design process. 

This class is a beginner hand sewing class. All materials will be provided.
