- $175 for Art Spot Members/$200 for Non-Members
- Ages 5-10

Come play with color, light, and imagination! Students will learn the foundations of color theory through playful exploration, developing their creativity while creating a series of vibrant, light-inspired artworks.
Day 1: Foundations of color and light + collaborative, movement-based large scale group project (outdoor if weather permits)
Day 2: “Color of Sound” — paintings inspired by music and sensory exploration
Day 3: Design and begin building light sculptures (“homes of the heart”) using cardboard + paper mache
Day 4: Paint and refine sculptures using mixed media (paintings from group and sound activities , cellophane, paper, etc.)
Day 5: Finish sculptures + group sharing, reflection, and open play
Students will explore the emotional and expressive power of color and light while developing creative confidence. Final project is a mixed-media light sculpture representing their personal interpretation of “home” or inner world.
Important Notes
- Advance registration is required. Each class must meet a minimum participation number. If the minimum is not met at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, the class is subject to cancellation.
- Please call or email the Art Spot if you have any questions.
