This immersive three-day workshop is designed for dedicated students who want to learn the full process of creating pottery from start to finish. Pottery is a multi-step art form, and this series will guide you through each stage in a hands-on, supportive environment.
Day 1:
- Introduction to throwing
- Centering, pulling up walls, and forming basic shapes
- Preparing and storing pieces for trimming
Day 2:
- Trimming pots created on Day 1
- Surface decoration techniques
- Attaching handles to mugs
- Additional practice with throwing
Day 3:
- Trimming pots
- Throwing practice with new shapes
- Basic glaze overview and glazing preparation
Class includes:
- Expert instruction across three sessions
- All materials and tools
- Bisque firing and glaze firing of your work
Important Notes
- Due to the multi-step ceramic process, completion takes 1–2.5 weeks. You’ll be notified when your pieces are ready for pickup. Learn more about our ceramic kiln operations and information.
- Advance registration is required. Each class must meet a minimum participation number. If the minimum is not met at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, the class is subject to cancellation. Please contact the instructor if you have any questions.
- All sales are final. No refunds unless the class is cancelled by the instructor.
