Makerspace
The makerspace at the Art Spot features supplies, tools and equipment for artists of all abilities to use and create with. There are two makerspaces at the Art Spot:
- Makerspace 1: Woodshop, Ceramics, Glass, Jewelry
- Makerspace 2: Textiles, Painting, Drawing, Rug Tufting, Printmaking, 3D Printers, Kids Crafts
Artists must be certified to use the woodshop, ceramics, glass, jewelry, rug tufting, printmaking and 3D printing equipment. For more information on certification classes, please view the Art Class calendar or email the Art Spot.
Daily drop-in admission or membership will provide access to the tools and equipment in the makerspace as well as basic supplies.
Patrons will need to either bring their own or purchase supplies such as canvases, linoleum, copper and acrylic carving sheets for printmaking; and metal for jewelry making.
For the ceramics studio, clay may only be purchased from the Art Spot. No outside clay is allowed. Please visit the retail space inside the Art Spot for available supplies and pricing.
Classroom
The Art Spot classroom space is programmed throughout the week with a variety of classes for all ages and artistic abilities.
Maker's Market
The Art Spot features a retail area that sells original local artwork along with Town of Silverthorne, Art Spot and First Friday merchandise. Retail displays will be updated twice a year to highlight a variety of local artists from the community.
